Once upon a time there was a little girl who swore she would never, ever, ever move back to Utah. As the years went by she found herself second guessing this decision, and she eventually moved back (for what was supposed to be a temporary period of time). She had always heard stories about people who went to BYU, met the love of their lives in their student ward, and got married 2 months later. She was determined to not become that person. So instead, she went to BYU, met the love of her life in her student ward, and married him 2 YEARS later :)
8 months later, her prince charming turned 25. They had a big party with all of their friends where they sung the night away Amerino Idol style. (I actually started writing this post yesterday on Luis' actual birthday, but I was so busy with party preparations that I wasn't able to finish/post it until today). So in honor of his birthday, here are 25 things you may not know about him:

1) He's sitting in front of the TV, what is on the screen? That depends on the time of day and whether or not he is alone. If I'm watching with him, we are catching up on Brothers & Sisters, Desperate Housewives, Ugly Betty, Heroes, Lost, The Office, Friday Night Lights, Real World, or The Soup. If he is alone, it will be 30 Rock, Scrubs, Smallville, or (*gasp*) possibly a soap.

2) You're out to eat, what kind of dressing does he get on his salad? Honey Mustard (he is obsessed with the stuff).

3) What is one food he doesn't like? Casseroles

4) You are eating dinner at home, what is his favorite go-to meal? Spaghetti and meatballs (it is odd how much he absolutely LOVES spaghetti)

5) Where did he go to high school? Rockwall High School

6) What shoe size does he wear? 10 or 10.5

7) If he was to collect anything, what would it be? TV shows on DVD

8) What is his favorite type of sandwich? Chili's Grilled Chicken Sandwich

9) What would he eat every day if he could? A lot of things. Pizza, donuts, Chili's, GoodWood, etc.

10) What is his favorite cereal? Right now, Crispix. But he goes through phases so sometimes it is Cap'n Crunch, Frosted Mini Wheats, or Honey Nut Cheerios.

11) What would he never wear? biker shorts

12) What is his favorite sports team? He doesn't like sports

13) Who is his best friend? Spencer

14) What is something you do that he wishes you wouldn't do? I randomly sing "Uno, dos, tres amigos..." I have done it for months and just recently found out that it drives him crazy.

15) How many states has he lived in? Technically 2. He was born in Utah, grew up in Texas, and then moved back to Utah for college.

16) What is his heritage? His mom is from Honduras and his dad is from El Salvador

17) You bake him a cake for his birthday, what kind of cake is it? Normally it would be some type of chocolate cake, but this year I opted for a giant L-shaped chocolate covered rice krispy treat.

18) Did he play sports in high school? No

19) What could he spend hours doing? Editing videos and watching TV

20) What is something cool about him? He is an amazing friend. He hates it when anyone is upset with him for anything, and is very quick to forgive others.

21) When did you think of him when you first met? The first time I "met" him, I had walked into his living room where he and a bunch of his friends were sitting around (I think they make have been joking about something or singing songs or something). The next time I saw him, I asked him how "the band" was going. He responded, "Um, I'm not in the band." I felt soooo stupid.

22) What is his idea of a perfect date? Going out to eat and then watching a play/musical of some sort.

23) What does he do when he first gets up in the morning? What we all do: checks his internets, duh (i.e. email, blogs, digg, etc.)

24) What is his bedtime routine? Luis cannot fall asleep without listening to something. This "something" is usually Kidd Kraddick in the Morning. This little habit of his doesn't bother me as long as he makes sure that there is nothing I want to talk about before we go to bed.

25) What is the sweetest thing he has done for you? The thing that stands out in my mind the most was at the end of my first semester of law school (long before we ever started dating). I had mentioned to him that I was sad because I felt like I was missing out on Christmas because I had to study for finals for most of the Christmas season. He left to go home several days before I was supposed to leave. And the day after he left I got an email from a random person I didn't know saying there was a surprise for me on my carrel. I had been studying at home that day so I had to drive all the way to the law school to find out what it was. When I got there, Luis had ordered flowers for me and had them delivered to my carrel with a note saying that he hoped I had a good Christmas.
