liar, liar, pants on fire

Apparently it is all the rage right now for women to blog about their pretend pregnancies. One woman went as far as making up an elaborate story about a high risk pregnancy. She claimed to have a home birth, took pictures of a lifelike doll, posted them on her blog, and then said that the baby only lived for a few hours. How can someone go to sleep at night knowing that there are a couple hundred strangers out in the blogger world praying for their unborn fake baby? Do they not feel guilty when homemade gifts arrive on their doorsteps with notes of encouragement from other mothers who have actually gone through these difficult times in real life? It seems to me that more psychiatric help should be available to the general public.
