I love the fact that Netflix has random TV shows that I watched as a child/tween which I loved but only lasted 1 or 2 seasons. I hate that the copies of most of these obscure shows are in random locations throughout the country so it takes extra long for me to receive them. I love that these DVDs get delivered right to my mailbox. I hate that the mailman doesn't come until 3 PM. I love that Luis thought to give me a Valentines Day gift that I could continue using throughout the year. I hate that there are too many things I want to watch and not enough time to watch them.
Despite the relationship that Netflix and I have formed over these last few months, I am sadly saying good-bye to my subscription. I've come to the realization that I don't need to have Netflix in my life. Classes will be starting again in a few short weeks. Some of TV shows that I have grown to love over the past couple of seasons will be making their triumphant returns to the telly (thank goodness the writers' strike is over). And with websites like TV Shack and TV Links, I should be able to keep myself entertained for quite some time.
So Netflix: I guess this is goodbye for now. I don't know if we'll ever see each other again, but I have enjoyed your presence in my life... for the most part.
