After years and years of attending other people's weddings and seeing other people's ideas, there were a few things that I wanted to incorporated into my own wedding. One thing that I thought was really fun was how Sean & Sarah had their guests blowing bubbles outside as they left the church building after their reception. After consulting with Luis, we decided that we wanted to do the same thing. So I searched for the most inexpensive bubbles I could find, and after looking in craft stores, party stores, and random online stores, I found that Wal-Mart still had the lowest prices. So I bought 100 of these little bottles of bubbles, and because I wanted them to look a little prettier than just the plastic bottle, I also purchased sage green ribbon to tie a bow around each bottle. I started tying some of the bows on Saturday when I needed a break from cleaning/packing. After doing about 25 of them, I'd had enough. The next day I proceeded to tie another 50 bows. Which left me with another 25 to do today. I never imagined how tedious these little bows can get. I don't know if my fingers are too long, or too big, or just not flexible enough but tying these tiny bows has been a chore. They are nowhere near perfect looking (I'm not all that crafty) but at least they are done and it is now one less thing to worry about.
Note to self: when my future children get married, remember to purchase bubbles that have pre-tied bows!
