The first time I ever experienced CPK was in Hawaii. At the time I was unimpressed because the pizzas were so expensive and I didn't eat pizza often enough to really care to go back. I have since learned the error of my ways. You don't go to CPK to eat a supreme pizza (unless you just simply love supreme pizza). You go for the fun pizzas that you can't get anywhere else. Granted, they are still not as good as the pizzas I ate in Brazil last summer, but either way I love CPK. One of my newest reasons for loving this great establishment is that they tell you on their menus to try something new and that if you don't like it, you can switch it out for a different pizza.

Last night we decided to go to CPK to celebrate my sister-in-law's interview and subsequent job offer (which, by the way, I'll just mention that she was so amazing that they called her on the phone 30 minutes after she left the interview to unofficially offer her the job so that she wouldn't take a job anywhere else). Anyway, I decided to try the shrimp scampi pizza. There was something about the sauce that I just didn't like. So I told Luis that I was going to ask for a new one. Now you have to understand that my husband does not like to make people feel bad, no matter what. So anytime we get bad service anywhere, or a waiter brings us the wrong thing, he begs and begs me not to say anything and just let it go. So at this point he starts off by trying to convince me that the pizza really wasn't that bad. And when he realized that wasn't working, he tried to get me to just switch pizzas with him, which I didn't want to do. I finally convinced him (with some help from Carolina) that I would be really nice about complaining if he would just let me speak up and that the menu encourages customers to try new things and that it wouldn't be a big deal to get a new pizza. So I got the Thai Chicken pizza (which I absolutely adore... it is like having pad thai in pizza form) and it was simply amazing :)
