My brain is interesting, to say the least. Usually it will take several different things going on in my life, jumble them with a bunch of random events/stories/overheard conversations that I have recently come across, and then turn them into an obscure mess/weird dream, and I almost always remember them. My trick to remembering my dreams is that I half wake up when my alarm clock goes off in the morning, and then I quickly (in my mind) tell myself the story of what happened in my dream. I then repeat the story to the first person that I come in contact with in the morning (usually Luis). Once the dream has been repeated 2-3 times, I am able to remember it for the rest of the day. This probably sounds weird, but I like to remember what went on in my brain while I was asleep. I wholeheartedly believe that people can have prophetic dreams that tell them about things that will happen in the future. Unfortunately I am not one of these people, but I like to pretend that I am so I sometimes try to interpret my dreams to mean great things (or not-so-great things just so that I can tell people about it and get a reaction out of them).
I had a dream last night that I couldn't find a job anywhere and I ended up having to work in a grocery store (my brain took the fact that I'm currently job-hunting and meshed it with Spencer's job at Smith's). They wouldn't let me be a manager or a cashier. Instead I had to work the stocking/cleaning night crew. But they made us wear a button-down white shirt, a black tie, and a blue vest and we weren't allowed to get our uniforms dirty. So all night long I had to stock shelves and clean up spills. And then this boy who was also on the crew started flirting with me and one of our co-workers asked me if the boy knew that I was married. I looked down at my ring-less hand and told the co-worker that it wasn't my fault if he assumed that I wasn't, I couldn't wear my ring because I was scared it would get ruined by all the cleaning products we used.
